Your Guide to the 2024 Kia Telluride Trims
Whether you are a carpool parent, a weekend adventurer, or a busy traveling professional, you likely spend a lot of time in your vehicle, and you need the right features in your three-row SUV to make the most out of that time. You need a vehicle that addresses every nuisance during everyday life and enhances every moment of a smooth ride. Does that sound like what you’re looking for? Then you should be searching for a Kia Telluride for sale. Well, you’re in luck because we have this popular, well-designed, and fun-to-drive three-row SUV at Rusty Wallace Kia of Knoxville.
Kia has cleverly designed the Telluride’s trims, with a few foundational trims and some upper-level versions. It’s a trim lineup with a lot of personalities, and we want to make sure you understand each one as you begin shopping. Let’s get to know the 2024 Kia Telluride models below.
Note the X-Pro, X-Line, & Prestige
As we move through these trims, you’ll notice that a couple of them have either the “X-Pro” or the “X-Line” in their titles. Kia first made these new variants—which are more like feature packages—available for the 2023 Telluride. They are designed to add more rugged capabilities, performance boosts, and athletic styling to the Telluride. Each X-Line model will be exclusively all-wheel drive and have a 0.4-inch higher ride height compared to the other trims.
The X-Pro is the more aggressive of the two, with all-terrain wheels, an increased 5,500-pound towing capacity, and a 110-volt power outlet in the cargo area, making it great for powering up appliances on camping and off-road adventures. The X-Line will roll on 20-inch alloy wheels and high-utility roof rails, which are ready to transport heavy-duty gear like kayaks and exterior storage boxes, while the X-Pro models will come standard with 18-inch wheels.
Then, you’ll see “Prestige” included in some model names. If you don’t want to do a deep dive, know that when you see that word, that model is going to have a variety of comfort, convenience, and luxury features that the others don’t. Now, let’s get into the specific trims.
The LX: Quality Comes Standard
The LX is the starting trim, but there’s nothing basic about it. It’s a quality model that gets you plenty of terrific features for that base-level MSRP. It gets the 3.8L V6 engine that’s standard across the lineup, kicking out a nice 291 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. It can tow 5,000 lbs, making it more than ready for weekend adventures with boats and campers. This trim enjoys many terrific standard driver assist features, like Auto Emergency Braking Technology and Blind Spot Detection Technology.
You’ll get a remote start on the LX, so you can activate the Dual-Zone Auto Climate Control before getting in. Rear Parking Sensors will help guide you into tight spots while reducing the risk of dings and scratches. A massive 12.3-inch touchscreen has built-in navigation to help you find your next adventure. With seating for eight, it’s ready to bring the whole crew.
The S: The More Comfortable LX
The S builds on the LX features with some perks that make it enjoyable for longer drives and adventures. It gets roof rails for exterior cargo capabilities and an available Sunroof Package for better ventilation on road trips.
Adding to the interior comfort is an 8-way power driver’s seat and heated front seats for optimal comfort. You’ll notice the interior of the S is a bit more spacious, too, because it skips the second-row bench seat for two captain’s chairs for a seven-seater capacity.
The EX: The More Luxurious S
The EX takes the comfort, fun, and convenience of the S trim to the next level. It adds a standard sunroof for letting in uplifting natural light, plus front seats add ventilation to cool you and your co-pilot off on hot days. When second-row passengers want to nap, they’ll appreciate their integrated window sunshades. The sound-absorbing front door window glass also makes for a peaceful cabin environment. This trim can be ordered with the second-row bench seat or captain’s chairs for seating for seven or eight.
The EX X-Line: The Rugged EX
If you like the comfort and convenience elements of the EX and want to combine them with more rugged capabilities, consider the EX X-Line. It builds on the EX with the X-Line features we covered above, plus a center-locking differential, which boosts traction in off-road settings, as well as Tow Mode, which optimizes vehicle dynamics when towing a vessel. Its Self-Leveling Rear Suspension can adjust for optimal clearance or command in a variety of settings.
The SX: A Road Trip Companion
The SX builds on the standard EX with some features that make it a pleasure to ride in and make adventures more fun! One of these is the dual sunroofs, giving all passengers stunning views of the outside and added light. A premium Harmon Kardon sound system offers concert-level listening for everyone, making it perfect for pumping tunes or listening to audiobooks on your way to your destination. A 10-way power driver seat with Memory makes getting into that perfect position a breeze for the driver and ensures the vehicle will recall your preferred settings.
The SX X-Line: The Rugged SX
If you want to enjoy the comfort features of the SX and add some more off-road-ready ones, consider the SX X-Line. It beefs up the SX with greater ground clearance, increased approach and departure angles, Tow Mode, and a center-locking differential. Plus, it has those high-utility roof rails we discussed earlier.
The SX X-Pro: The Adventurous SX
The SX X-Pro will offer all of the comfort and convenience features of the SX and take the rugged abilities up a notch from the SX X-Line. So you’ll get those all-terrain tires, 5,500 lbs of towing capacity, greater ground clearance, and other off-road-ready perks.
The SX Prestige: The Luxurious SX
If it’s the ultimate luxury you’re after, consider the SX Prestige. It’s the even more sophisticated, tech-forward, and comfortable sibling of the SX. It enjoys a Full Display Mirror, meaning the rearview mirror can act as a digital display for your rear camera. A head-up display will show you important vehicle and journey stats right in your line of view.
The second-row seats enjoy heating and ventilation in this trim, keeping rearseat passengers comfortable. Automatic Rain-Sensing windshield wipers will activate at the first raindrops and adjust in intensity according to the downpour. The second row gets a convenient console for stashing items or resting their elbows, too.
The SX Prestige X-Line: Rugged & Luxurious
The SX Prestige X-Line combines the luxury and tech-forward features of the SX Prestige with the rugged abilities of the X-Line. So you’ll enjoy a cabin loaded with features that keep everyone content on long drives, plus features that will enable you to tackle unpaved and unpredictable terrain with ease.
The SX Prestige X-Pro: Beauty in the Beast
Finally, the SX Prestige X-Pro is the pinnacle of all of the best features available for the 2024 Telluride. It offers the upscale features of the Prestige with the impressive off-road features of the X-Pro. So you can travel to remote and rugged destinations with those all-terrain tires and boosted ground clearance but treat yourself to a luxury experience along the way.
