The black radiator grille of the base model is joined by body-color outside power-adjustable mirrors, auto on/off headlight control, multi-focus reflector headlamps, and a C Pillar garnish with a “Soul” logo proudly displayed. Privacy solar glass is standard on every trim. Fast forward to the Turbo trim, and you’ll see hot stamping type front grille, GT-line exterior appearance points that include distinct side sills with red accents and even a silver rear skid plate. High gloss black outside mirrors are power adjustable, and then there’s the LED headlamps and LED front fog lights, too. Want a power sunroof? The Turbo trim has you covered. GT-Line Exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels are also standard on the Turbo trim and give you an idea of just how far the Soul takes its hipness.
Interior – 2021 Kia Soul near Knoxville
The interior of the base model LX previews some of the most economical but fun features of the Soul. It has power windows and power door locks, two things that few vehicles in this price point get. You also get very nicely crafted woven cloth seat trim and soft-touch dash and upper front door panels. Nothing about the new Soul base model is “plastic.” It’s very high quality material all the way around. You even get painted matte silver front door speaker grille and an air vent bezel trim and door handles. And that’s just the base model of the 2021 Kia Soul near Knoxville. The Turbo has a sporty, uptown feel to it. You have push button start, a remote start feature via key fob, automatic temperature control with cluster ionizer, and synthetic leather and cloth seat trim with a GT-Line exclusive red color pack. Heated front seats and a sweet D-shaped steering wheel round out just a few of the features you’ll admire.
Mechanical – Kia Soul specs near Knoxville
The pique of performance will be the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that is beyond fun to drive. If you love driving just for the love of driving, you won’t want to miss out on driving the Turbo. It gets this transmission standard and is a blast to take out on the highway. Some trims of Soul will get a sport-tuned suspension (namely, the Turbo), and it features RS Type gas shock absorbers that really bolster the performance of the Soul. Vehicle turning circle diameter is a steady 34.8 feet, something that reflects just how easy the Soul is to handle. A stabilizer bar is standard on sportier trims of Soul and will definitely give you a much firmer grasp on the road. The rear suspension is also exceptional, as it gets a coupled torsion beam axle with gas shock absorbers for better handling and greater responsiveness to all conditions on the road.
Powertrain – 2021 Kia Soul dealer
Two powertrains are available for the Soul. The base model and lowers trims are capable of 147 horsepower, while the Turbo gets a racing 201 horsepower. Torque on the Soul is outstanding: 195 lb-ft of torque maximum on the strong engine choice. This is up there with many off-road SUVs, so you can imagine just how enthusiastic the Soul drive must be to get that kind of quick on its feet torque. The responsiveness is incredible to experience, as it’s clear that Kia puts a lot of love into creating the Soul’s action-packed drive every year. We’d even be confident enough to say that no other vehicle on the road today is MORE fun to drive than the Soul itself.
Safety – 2021 Kia Soul dealer
All Soul trims get dual front advanced airbags, front seat-mounted side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, and 3-point seat belts for all seats. Passive features built into the design include electronic stability control, electronic brake-force distribution, and vehicle stability management. Kia Drive Wise is also a heavy presence beginning on the S trim. The S gets Forward Collision Avoidance Assist and Driver Attention Warning, along with the Blind Spot Collision Warning and even Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Assist. The Turbo gets upgraded versions of some of these, including Forward Collision Avoidance, which also gets pedestrian detection on the Turbo. All of these features make the Soul a strong hatchback that’s smart on safety.
